I made Valentine's to raise money for our local furry friends at the Houston SPCA. A lot goes on behind the scenes at the Houston SPCA. They are always in need of daily necessities to take care of all of the animals. If you were not able to purchase a Valentine please donate household items that you may have around your home to the shelter, listed below on the Houston SPCA Wish List. They have to take care of all the animals waiting to be adopted at the shelter - dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, horses, donkeys, etc. There are many generous volunteers and great people willing to help the shelter but our donations and charity only go so far and are always a HUGE help but these pets need great homes and great families. There are many great animals awaiting your visit!
For now I would like to show you the Valentine's I'm making for our local shelter, and want to extend a BIG THANKS to all of those who have gotten a Valentine so far! I appreciate it and I know that the Houston SPCA will!
Here's a preview to some of the cards & some of the great dogs up for adoption now! Visit the shelter to check them out even if you just get to play with them, they absolutely love the visit!
Also, if you have any of these house hold items lying around please drop them by the shelter if you'd like to donate anything!
Visit the Houston SPCA website, or your local SPCA's website & check out their "Wish List" or what it is their needing. As for Houston, our local shelter needs: Towels, blankets, bleach, newspaper, hamster/rabbit food, dog food, leashes, sharpies, pet grooming supplies, dog/cat toys, can openers, digital cameras, batteries (AA,AAA, C, D, 9V), rubber gloves, cotton swabs, cotton balls, paper towels, gallon sized ziplocs, etc.
