Gossip Girl | 'I Am Number Nine'

What did you think of tonight's episode of Gossip Girl's 'I Am Number Nine?'

Dan's book moves to spot number nine on the best seller list, Blair has a comedic bridesmaid tryout for her royal wedding, Chuck comes out to be the man we've always been waiting to see, Charlie actually wins over Blair, Serena comes to Dan's rescue or shall we say Diana did?

Let's start with Dan's book. It's moved up on the best seller list. Serena's boss tries to take charge and only loses the movie rights. What's Diana up to by hiring Serena on to the Spectator? I am sure Diana will twist what Serena has to say for the Spectator having everything 'come from the source' as Diana says which I am sure she is referring to herself as 'the source.'

Gossip Girl 'I Am Number Nine'

Nate kisses Charlie although Charlie's only in it to become a bridesmaid of Blair's and Nate's just kissing Charlie to make Diana jealous. But both didn't know of the others intentions - are they into each other & has Diana now presented a challenge to Charlie?
Not sure what will happen there but I'm pretty sure Charlie's got a secret up her sleeve....if only Chuck would come to his senses on why he recognizes Diana and Charlie catches wind of it. (Diana had an affair or something going on with Chuck's Dad...did you catch that in the past episode - digging her picture out of Bart's file....then in tonight's episode Chuck recognizes her.)

Blair wears a lacey red dress

Seems like Blair brings out the worst in Louis as he's coming out to be the bad guy in this episode. Leave it be Louis, you have Blair she's your fiance and you are still second guessing. Chuck and Blair do not even rub elbows - but there's always a part of me that wants Blair & Chuck to work. Louis has been paying off the therapist to turn Chuck back into the guy he used to be when in turn this action makes Chuck into the best he has ever been. I love the Chuck in this episode.

The episode ends with Chuck leaving Blair's on the steps of Harry Winston. Breaks my heart.
Meanwhile, I love what Chuck is wearing in this scene. He always looks so sleek!

This has been one of the best episodes by far!

Loving this look of Blair's

As far as the apparel I am always floored by the looks. The only look I was absolutely in LOVE with is the lemon shirt & bright neon skirt that Blair wears during the bridesmaid tryouts. Loving her ever large headband that has always adorned Blair's look throughout the years.

Dress Gryphon. Necklace Swarovski. Ring Rich Rocks. Bracelet Sequin.

Charlie's look. I like this look on Charlie. The fabric looks vintage and the capped sleeves add some sparkle & shine to the basic fabric. I like how her hair is tossed to the side giving it an effortless look.

Looks that weren't so flattering.
During the NYSpectator party Serena wears the same one shoulder look as her boss - they are extremely matchy matchy with a turquoise one shoulder on Serena and a bold purple on her boss. Even their earrings match! Ew! Let's change up the looks coming into the same shots. Just because they work for the same company doesn't mean they have to be in uniform.

Blair in a Blumarine dress. Shoes Sergio Rossi. Bangle Sequin.

Blair's red dress during the NYSpectator party. As soon as she walks in I am always breathless from the apparel she shows up in. This dress look was too old for her.

Favorite Quote of the entire episode:
Chuck: 'I am sorry for losing my temper the night you told me Louis proposed to you. I'm sorry for not waiting longer at the Empire State Building. I'm sorry for treating you like property. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I loved you when I knew I did. Most of all I'm sorry that I gave up on us...and you never did.'

Blair: 'Thank you. I hope never giving up on people isn't going to be my downfall.'

Chuck: 'That's why you're going to be an amazing mother. You're always there for people you love even when they don't deserve it.'

Blair: 'You know that's never going to change.'

Chuck: 'It's okay if it has to.'

We see Chuck let go in this episode like the therapist said and it has changed him into a better person. But as much as I like Louis I am still hoping for Blair & Chuck.

I know that Louis finds the papers for the paternity test for the baby but does that mean it really is Louis? If so I'm trying to figure out where this will go...will Blair lose the baby and Chuck be there to help her through it and then they will end up together again?

When will Diana and fake 'Charlie' Ivy be kicked off of the show as well as Louis' sister Beatrice. The villians this season are nothing more than a bother and I can not wait for them all to be kicked off although I know they are each building up to something until the season finale.

Until next week!
XOXO Haili
I just had to ;)

  1. Do you know who made Serena's turquoise dress and matching earrings (turquoise stone with gold chains)? Thanks!
