Doggy Party on the Plaza at CityCentre

Doggy Party on the Plaza was a hit! Everyone had a blast, even our little four legged family members. Booths that participated in the event handed out free goodies & treats. Dogs were also available for adoption at BARC located at the front of Doggy Party while KHOU's Deborah Duncan emceed keeping everyone updated with the scheduling of events. People gathered at Ruggles Green & Red Mango for patio seating to watch the fun! This particular event raised awarness for local shelters. A puppy parade 'Rescue Me!' took place at 2PM, and at 3PM the 'High School Mascot Madness' costume contest sponsored by the Kube began. 100% of the raffle benefits went to Lucky Dog Rescue & Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue. Doggy Party on the Plaza was absolutely delightful to attend. Houstonians that are passionate about supporting local shelters & passionate about our dogs loved this event!! Such a great cause & such a lovely day at CityCentre to host the Doggy Party!

Doggy Party on the Plaza will be hosted by Great Day Houston's Deborah Duncan on April 2, 2011 at City Centre. Dogs from BARC will be present, there will be a canine costume contest, proceeds will go towards rescued animals throughout Houston! This years 2011 Doggy Party on the Plaza will feature the First ever Rescue me! Parade, where 20 rescues will design floats and compete for up to $6,000 in prizes!
