I walk into the ultra chic Two Be Wed boutique to sit and chat with owner, the lovely Natalie Dawley who is also a partner in Recollection Vintage Rentals. I immediately feel at home in this cozy space and feel although something is missing without colorful macaroons or petit fors in hand. We begin discussing decor and get on to the subject of weddings. We talk everything from wedding trends to budget friendly tips for brides to be.

What trends do you see coming into play at current weddings?
"Petite arrangements or collections of floral in short vases are in. You don't have to have tall and elaborate center pieces to have an elegant tablescape. Stationery details such as a customized place card, menu card, and table number help to embellish the table and to carry your style throughout the decor.”
With so many guests at the wedding how do you make them feel special and welcome?
"Place cards are a unique way to add that little something and make guests feel like they have a part in your big day. When a guest finds their card it’s confirmation that you (bride and groom) were thinking of them. Place cards make guests feel special and displaying them provides another opportunity to be creative with your theme."
What is a budget friendly tip for upcoming brides?
"If you have a huge guest list and absolutely cannot cut it down opt for hosting a garden party with fun cocktails and lite bites. If you choose a downtown venue with a 4-course dinner be prepared to pay the price."

In addition to Two Be Wed you are also a partner in a company called Recollection Vintage Rentals. What exactly does RVR provide?
Two Be Wed and Recollection share a charming cottage on 2611 Greenbriar Street in the River Oaks area. RVR provides floral and décor services and rents vintage furniture, fixtures, and accessories for luncheons, weddings, styled photo shoots, and photo booth backdrops. We have several on-location styling packages for engagement and bridal shoots as well as a service called “Sitting Pretty” where the bride and her photographer have free reign to take pictures with our vintage styled vignettes’. She has complete access to the studio for two hours for hair and make-up and to glam it up! Recollection also rents the cottage for bridal showers and luncheons and can provide everything from floral to catering upon request.

What is the latest trend at Recollection Vintage Rentals?
We don’t see milk glass falling out of style anytime soon- it’s clean, fresh, and versatile. Recollection has a massive collection of vintage milk glass in several different colors including white, black, clear, turquoise, and select pieces in powder pink! Each piece is hand-picked and totally authentic.

I am a Scott Kelley bride! I tried to comment on the blog but it wouldn't let me. I am interested in using the space at TBW for my bridesmaids luncheon and I could really use two hours of event design!
